DAMN it was hot. Got the last campsite for miles near the falls and took a long hot (did I mention it was hot?) hike, dragging the panting and miserable dogs to where the falls USUALLY ARE. In the words of the Honey Lake caretaker, sadly, they were awl driedup.
We trudged back through the heat to collapse at our site with a six pack of Natural Light and spent the rest of the weekend watching the WT neighbor women yell at their kids and, when night fell, make out with each other and swap tent partners.
(Too much information?)
